From family business to Great Taste Award

Thirteen years running events. A pandemic pivot. And a return to what I love most; feeding people well, in person.

ABOUT

I grew up in catering. My family ran JRC Events for 35 years, corporate dinners, private parties, festivals, and from 2008 I ran it as Managing Director alongside my sister. At our peak, we were delivering 250 events a year, from 20 to 1,000 covers. It was fast, demanding, and we were good at it.

When Covid shut events down, we built something new. Batch & Thyme launched as a frozen meal delivery service, restaurant-quality food for people stuck at home. In 2021, it won a Great Taste Award. Life then took us in different directions, but the name stuck, and so did the standards.

Now Batch & Thyme has evolved again, back to its roots. Batch cooking for busy households, corporate lunches for teams that deserve better, and funeral receptions handled with quiet professionalism. Same attention to detail. Just more personal.
