From family business to Great Taste Award

Thirteen years running events. A pandemic pivot. And a return to what I love most: feeding people well, in person.

GOOD FOOD, YEARS IN THE MAKING.

Batch & Thyme grew out of JRC Events, our family catering business. I ran it for thirteen years, from intimate dinner parties to corporate events and festivals. At its busiest, we catered up to 250 events a year, for anything from 20 to 1,000 guests.

When Covid stopped the events industry, I started Batch & Thyme, delivering restaurant-quality frozen meals to people’s homes. In 2021, we won a Great Taste Award for Sri Lankan sweet potato curry.

Today I’m bringing that experience to offices across Crawley and Gatwick: fresh breakfasts and lunches, delivered ready to serve. We still cater events too.

WHY US?

  • Made fresh. Prepared for your order and delivered Monday to Friday, with two working days’ notice

  • Ready to serve. Your food arrives in boxes you can put straight on the table, no prep needed.

  • Everyone catered for. Tell us about dietary needs when you order, and we’ll show you what suits each guest.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

We believe great food and thoughtful choices should go hand in hand.

We're committed to reducing our environmental impact wherever we can, from sourcing ingredients responsibly and supporting local suppliers to minimising food waste and choosing packaging with sustainability in mind.

We believe small decisions make a difference. Careful planning, considered sourcing and a commitment to continually improving the way we work are all part of our approach.

For us, it's about doing things properly, making good food, looking after our customers and being mindful of the impact we leave behind.
